For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in
my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully
made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My
substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously
wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance,
yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in
continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. Ps
139:13-16 (KJV)
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27 (KJV) As a full Bible church, the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Manassas is a pro-life church. We inform and govern our policies and actions by the authoritative word of God using the 3 Puritan Principles: “What does it say?”, “What does it mean?”, and “What do I do about it?”. The Bible is clear: God is the Creator and Sustainer of all life, and His is the final authority over life and death. As we seek to obey the law of God by loving our neighbors as ourselves, we will seek to promote the health and welfare of those in our community. We especially seek to protect those who are most vulnerable, and helpless to defend themselves: those orphans and widows in our midst. We believe it is the responsibility of every church to encourage its members to stand up for those who others wish to kill - whether they are the unseen, unborn children being killed by the millions, or the neglected, abandoned elderly and disabled being hurried off to death. Our church members bring their love for their neighbors out into the world by volunteering with and supporting the Care Net Pregnancy Center of Manassas. At this center, the truth of God and the hope of the gospel are brought to men and women in pain and confusion, who may otherwise choose to murder their child. These mothers and fathers are often alone, despairing, and abandoned by family and friends to the “tender mercies of the wicked.” (Prov. 12:10) Without the ministry of compassion of the Care Net workers, these men and women may never have a chance to have their real needs met - the need for the support of a community of believers; the need for material provisions such as food and shelter; and the need for someone to talk to. Join us in bringing God’s truth and love into our community. If you have been struggling with a decision about your unborn child, or need help dealing with past decisions, please call the caring volunteers at the Care Net Pregnancy Center at (703) 330-1300. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved; and to be steady on all the battlefield besides, is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.” - Martin Luther
